I got mine while working on Dutch company, Dockwise. I had an international seamensbook and few weeks after start of first contract with them they send it on-board. But now I need a Dutch riverbook, and that a bit different thing. Ease to get tho, same as "Monsterboekje" (dutch for seamensbook), riverbook is made in a seamen's registry; You have to have a valid medical examination, appropriate educational/coarse documents, and that's it... I think.
