Depending on the agency. Student loans are generally insured by the federal government. Income doesn't matter, you don't even have to have a job. As long as you have been accepted by an accredited school. If you go through a student loan agency they guarantee the loans. Check for grants to pick up what the agency doesn't pay.
Well, this is certainly apparently NOT true if you have already gotten those loans and - per say - you have a family to take care of and the Federal loans do NOT (because the sure do not) cover your expenses. Then it seems you either must have a co-signer or, can you believe it, be working! If we were able to work and do grad school and take care of our children all at the same time, I guess we would not need the loan! ANY suggestions out there as to what to do then? Are there any - ANY - lenders that don't require a co-signer AND DON'T require you be working??? Help! (my first time to post an answer, so I hope I'm doing this right!)
