What is the different between a national army and regular army?

A national army is a regular army. If, however, you want to know the difference between the National Guard and the regular Army, the National Guard is a part time reserve drawn from the general population who are mobilised in periods of national emergency.

Can you get a concealed carry permet with a other than honorable discharge?

I do know of someone who received a CCW with an OTH from the Army Reserve. However, he had an Honourable Discharge from the Regular Army prior to receiving his OTH from the Reserve, and this was in the State of North Carolina, which conducts a very extensive background check before issuing a CCW. If you're able to purchase a handgun without the transaction being denied, then you should be able to get a CCW.

Can you join active army to navy reserve?

I do know people who have done exactly that, but they've all had an MOS in the Army which corresponded with their occupation in the Navy Reserve. However, this may not necessarily be a requirement, although you'll likely have to attend some sort of occupational specialty training if you're not transferring from a corresponding Army MOS. See the website in the related link for more information, including means of contacting Navy Reserve recruiters.

How to Learn About Army Reserve Recruiting?

While join the United States military is a great way to give something back to a country that has given you so much, there are a few things that every person who is thinking about signing up for the Army Reserve needs to know about the Army Reserve recruiting process. Although the vast majority of Army Recruiters that are serving today are responsible individuals who have the best interests of the newest generation of soldiers at heart, the fact of the matter is that recruiters have quotas to meet. Here is what you need to know if you are considering going through the Army Reserve recruiting process. The best way to think about Army Reserve recruiting is to enter an Army Reserve recruiting office with the same frame of mind that you would enter an automotive dealership. Much like a professional car salesman, you can expect an Army Reserve recruiting officer to be eager to answer all of the questions and concerns that you may have about joining the US military as a reservist. At the same time, an Army Reserve recruiting officer is also likely to be interested in doing everything that he or she can do in order to get you to sign up as quickly as possible. If you are unsure about whether or not you really want to join the Army Reserves, do not let an Army Reserve recruiting officer push into doing anything that you are not comfortable about. The other key consideration to bear in mind when you are speaking with an Army Reserve recruiting officer is that most recruiters do not have a very accurate understanding of the type of background check that new recruits are subject to. In the effort to ease the mind of young recruits, some Army Reserve recruiting officers fail to properly inform recruits of the importance of being completely honest about your personal, financial and criminal background when you are filling out your paperwork. A couple of mistakes in your past will not stop you from being able to join the military, but being less than forthright about a poor credit score or prior arrest can make Army Reserve recruiting process much more complicated.

Can police officer in the army reserve be exempt from deploying because of their civilian job?

No. The military comes first. Civilian agencies know this, and are required to hold your job for you until you get back.

What are the bad things about the army reserve?

Most of it boils down to opinion, and the Army Reserve will have pros and cons when audited against another component, such as the Army National Guard. The biggest disadvantage of the Army Reserve vs. National Guard I can see is that a lot of (but not all of) Army Reserve units are non-deployable. What this means is that the unit as a whole cannot be deployed, but individuals within the unit can be deployed, the end result of this being that, if one is deployed individually from a non-deployable unit, they would ultimately end up serving in a unit full of people who were strangers to them, and with whom a good sense of rapport wouldn't necessarily be built up. When you deploy into a combat environment, it's preferably to know the people you're going with. The Army Reserve is composed of support and training units, with the exception of one battalion of infantry (100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry Regiment, based in Hawaii). For this reason, members of other components do have a tendency to look down on the Army Reserve. Which may be an issue or a non-issue, depending on how you end up taking that. States may offer additional bonuses for enlistment into the National Guard which are not available to Army Reservists. On the flip side, the Army may offer bonuses for enlistment into the Army Reserve which are not available to the National Guard. As an Army Reservist, you would not be subject to activation by your state governor. Some may see this as an advantage, but those who've enlisted with the intent of serving the community directly around them could see this as a disadvantage.
