The drill team red cord goes on the left shoulder, and the color guard white cord goes on the right shoulder.
Red: Drill Team White: Color/Honor Guard Black: Raider Team Tan: Marksmanship
The red shoulder cord is for excelling in Drill Activities.
Pretty sure blue is for drill or color guard commander
ROTC cadets typically aren't paid for being ROTC cadets. However, if they drill with a Reserve or National Guard unit, they receive pay equivalent to what an E-5 in that unit would receive.

Well of course, the Pacesetters are the best drill team ever! That's just my opinion though. Everyone is going to think the their drill team is the best...who wouldn't? I love the Pacesetter!
