Unless he is keeping it a secret he is not terminally ill and so expects to live for many more years. He did have heart surgery a few years ago, but it was successful and should not shorten his life by much. In fact, I believe he lost some weight, got into better shape and changed his eating habits, so he may even live longer than he would have.
