How long does it take to enter the air force?

Current service requirements is eight years. While you may enlist in the regular Air Force for as little as four years, the remainder of your requirement would need to be in the reserves if you choose not to remain active.

For career soldiers, and specifically to the army it is 35 years.

Basic enlistment is usually a 4-6 year deal then you re-enlist after.

Also there are other deals like do 4 years then be able to get called back for 2.

For basic enlistment and contracts I believe you can do also a 4 x 4 equaling eight years.
