The associates degree is designed as a two year program of study as a full-time student provided the student takes the degree as prescribed by the college, and provided the student does not require prerequisite coursework as a result of basic skills testing. There are some programs of study that may take a bit longer depending on the number of credits required. Usually these are programs within the health related fields. In addition, for students who require developmental course work as a result of basic skills testing, it would take longer. How much longer would depend on the extent of the developmental courses they are required to take. Evidently, those individuals who attend college on a part-time based would also extend their time in school. How much longer would depend on the credit load carried each semester. Typically, an associates degree takes between 60 and 64 credits to complete depending on the specific school, program of study, and state mandates.
It doesn't matter how many semesters your in college. If you are working on either an associates or bachelor's degree, you are an undergraduate student. When you are pursing a master's or doctorate degree, you are considered a graduate student.
Typically, all being well, the degree should take approximately two years to complete as a full-time student, and provided the student takes the degree as prescribed by the school.
A four year degree (bachelors) can range between 120 and 128 credits depending on the specific program of study, and on the college or university requirements. The degree as a full-time student takes approximately eight semesters to complete. So, you can do the math and understand how many semesters 300 hours could be. I hope you do not plan on spending that many semesters getting your degree. With that many semesters you could attain a doctorate.A four year degree (bachelors) can range between 120 and 128 credits depending on the specific program of study, and on the college or university requirements. No the associate degree comes first followed by the bachelor's degree. However, many students go directly for the bachelor's degree without pursuing the associates degree.
An associates degree program is layed out over 5 semesters, which takes 2 years. However, that plan assumes that the student has already finished prerequisites in English, math, science and communication.
final year (s-6 semester)
Well an associates degree will take around 4 semesters or two years. Some students finish faster it just depends on how quickly you work and maybe take some summer courses?

It could mean the employer is requiring at a minimum of an associates degree for the posted job. About 1 or 2 semesters. I REALLY recommend that you further your education beyond a certificate. An associates degree in accounting will do wonders for your future. The above recommendation is very true. The certificate in many cases is designed to supplement an already existing degree. Today it is very competitive out their especially in the corporate sector. The higher the degree, the more marketable you will be.
I hate how some applications don't have "Associates Degree" as an option. If you have an associates degree and you are filling out an application like that, you should write "Associates Degree in ____" on the side. I think that shows pride in your achievements, and you deserve to feel proud of getting an associates degree. "Some college" does not mean "associates degree". Someone who took 2 college classes could check "some college", and you took about 20. I agree with the above contributor. Applications should have a designation for the completion of an Associates degree. An Associates degree shows completion. There are Associates degrees as an Registered nurse, in Technology, Educating, multiple Allied Health fields, and the list goes on, and on, and on. As stated above, if it were me I would make sure I indicated the Associates degree on the application. Viper1
