Marine OCS refer to the American Marine Corp Officer Training School. Information on preparing for a Marine OCS is available from the Marine Corps, or from specialist websites such as Squidoo.
To become an officer in the United States Marine Corps you can go to the United States Naval Academy or any other college and graduate. There are also some enlisted programs to become an office. You'll have to talk to a recruiter about that. Call 716-633-1406 If you are on track to get a 4 year degree or already have one just contact an Officer Selection Team, they will be able to sign you up to go to Officer Candidate School (OCS). If you complete the 10 week course you have what it takes to be an officer in the Marine Corps. If you have a degree when you go to OCS you can decide to join the Marine Corps right after OCS. If you are still in college then you have to wait until you have your degree before you can sign up. Going ot OCS does not obligate you to serve any time.
If you have a 4 year degree all you have to do is go to Officer Candidate School (OCS) which is 10 weeks long. At the end of OCS you will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. OCS is designed to see if you have what it takes to be a Marine officer. After receiving your commission you then attend The Basic School for a 26 week course, followed by assignment to an Occupational Specialty and training in the selected field. If you are still in college you can sign up to go to OCS during the summer between semesters but you cannot commission until you have the 4 year degree. So this path could take a few years depending on what year of school you are in. Call 716-633-1406

OCS attendance during PLC enrollment is determined by when you signed your contract. PLC Officer Candidates who sign during their Sophmore year will attend two separate six week sessions in Quantico, VA following their Sophomore and Junior summer breaks. OCs who sign during their Junior year (or later) will do one 10 week session, which may also be held in the winter. Your reputation as an Officer of Marines starts at Quantico. Start your PT now, or it will be too late by the time you get there.
