I am at the end of my first year. I started at $10.76 an hour. After 1000 hours I got a raise to $ 12.70 an hour. Basically every 6 months you get a 5% to 10% of journeyman's rate raise. It varies from local to local though. My local it is $31.75 an hour for journeymen.
a local 1 journeyman plumbers rate is now $51.76 per hour , plus medical benefits, and 401 k contributions as well as other contributions to different funds. Total package is around $100.00 per hour , but only $51.76 per hour is in the envelope
Start off about $/labor hour, then eventually you'll get a raise (12-18)/flag hour.
For a mature age 1st year apprentice mechanic (21years or older) the award rate is $12+ /hour.
If you are talking about an apprentice, their pay rises in increments of 5% per term. In a four year apprenticeship there are 8 terms. The first term starts at 65% of a journeyman's wage. So a second year or third or fourth term apprentice's wage should be 75 to 80 percent of the journeyman's wage. This is an IBEW wage scale.

A 3rd year apprentice can expect to make around $16.40 / hour, and could expect $25/hr minimum when qualified.
