In terms of true dollars to train a SF soldier, I am sure it is classified. I know that a fully trained SF operator is worth over $1,000,000 to the army. His knowledge and skill-set are nearly as valuable as some of the armed forces' combat vehicles. Just as an example, a SF medic, once fully trained, has the ability to perform almost anything a civilian MD can. Also, he is a trained dentist and veterinarian. Remember, SF A and B teams operate deep in foreign territory with only local resources to rely upon. They are very self- sufficient as a team while, simultaneously, training foreign armies, engineers, doctors, etc. Having so much "invested" in training a SF soldier is part of the reason the army requires a 6 year enlistment post-graduation from SF school.
