The Purplr Heart Medal is awarded for injury sustained as a result of wounds received from an armed combatant who is considered an enemy of the USA during time of war. If you fit the bill, and can provide documentation as to the circumstances of how the injury was received, take said proof to the nearest Veteran Service Officer at any Federal Building...some County Office Buildings have them, too. Or, ask around at any VFW or American Legion post. They'll help you out.
