yes, your not actually in the military until u go to basic. i would withdraw from the army and join the air force, not many job in the air force see action, in many cases you have to volunteer to go overseas, im in the air force and my job requires absolutly no deployments, like i said they will give u a ton of bs for quitting but there are other better options Don't Join the "chair-force" tell him he'll get used to it after a while.

Im not 100% sure but, Im pretty sure only brits (like my self) can join the SPECIAL AIR SERVICE (SAS) The US navy seals is pure American and so is the UNSC (I Think)
