Is it okay to date when you are ten in fifth grade?

I wouldn't allow my 10 year old to date. I don't allow my 15 year old to date.

I did date one guy when I was 10 and in 5th grade but we broke up really quickly and now never even see each other and I can't stand him. My parents didn't allow me to date and I did it behind their back and it was an awful feeling. when they found out, knowing that I disappointed them like that was the worst. If you really like this person, don't date now, date when you are more mature to handle the situation and have your parents approval. If I could have a do-over of that year, I would have never dated anyone. I am 14 now and I still haven't had a boyfriend since then. I am still waiting so be patient, the time to date will eventually come.

I'm 12 and still ot had ONE Boyfriend but I find that most people who date to young end in a matter of maybe 2 weeks so maybe you shouldn't date to young but you could date. Yes ok most people say "If you don't date then your not cool" Untrue I say maybe be like BFF'S until maybe at least year 7 I mean I'm in year 7 and I haven't dated one boy but I might get lucky the week before half term :) Valentines day disco

depends if ur definition of dating is going out on a date to the movies or something then no it isn't! and to be honest i had a BF in the 5th grade! it was like the big cool thing and i hung out with people that i regret hanging out with bc they got me into some BIG trouble! so don't fall for peer pressure and do what you feel is right but i just think that making that decison is wrong and kinda stupid as said above.

You are not yet old enough to understand what 'dating' is all about. You will have plenty of time for dating in high school, so just chill out for a few years and enjoy just being a kid for a change.

It is perfectly ok do date when you are in the fifth grade because you know what its like do date someone when you are older

I would not suggest that because guys are way too immature to date in grade 5 so give him a chance to mature more then if you still have the chance try again in middle school!

well i did, now I'm a 14 year old dude, me and my girlfriend are still together after 4 years! i did... but many people would protest because it may lead to sex... so i would say it is totally okay, but it all depends what the person feels is right to do!

I'm from Michigan so I'm assuming that you are 10-11. yes it is ok but be careful, how you see it in movies isn't how real life works out. Don't think it's about kissing, it's about being together with someone you actually care about. Like them for who they are not what you want to do with them. Don't force them into doing things.

Umm well if it was me I would start to date because people wont say mean, annoying stuff, they will probably say stuff like ahhh and ooo and stuff like that. (I kinda know I am in grade 5 and my friend is dating)

So its up to u i personally would go for it if u r mature enough for it!:)
