All of the new Presidential dollars are circulating coins worth face value only. They're made of brass; hundreds of millions of each design are being put into circulation so it's extremely unlikely they'll go up in value.
You can buy uncirculated or proof versions for maybe $2 or $3 but these are for collecting purposes.

You are probably referring to the current issue US one-dollar coin. If so, it is worth one-dollar.
If you mean a 1922 Grant Memorial half dollar, two variety's exist. The first issue has a star above GRANT on the front of the coin and is valued at $580.00-$1,060.00 in circulated condition. The second issue has NO star and is valued at $60.00-$110.00 in circulated condition.
It is still worth $1 in 2011 and 2012, but I'm not sure later on, probably a few dollars more after 20 or 30 years, but really, I HAVE NO IDEA!!
