No one should worry about this. The Federal government is not about to let either of these programs end.
The federal government allocates a significant portion of its funding to four main programs: Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and defense spending. Social Security provides retirement and disability benefits to millions of Americans. Medicare and Medicaid offer health care coverage to the elderly and low-income individuals, respectively. Defense spending encompasses military expenditures and national security initiatives, reflecting the government's commitment to maintaining national security.
From the data that I have seen, the cost of entitlements (i.e. Social Security, Medicare, Medicade) make up about 50% of the annual budget of $3 Trillion
Well there is Medicare, social security, daycare for kids and so on. Hope I answered your question
The Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) tax is used to fund Social Security and Medicare programs. This tax is withheld from employees' paychecks and also contributed by employers. It is divided into two parts: one portion is allocated for Social Security and the other for Medicare.
Social Security has been called a federal benefit payment since it was created in the 1930s. The term "federal benefits" applies to a large number of programs, including Social Security, Social Security Disability Insurance, Medicare, and others.
Social Security also known as FICA is taxed at 6.2% of income. Medicare is taxed at 1.45%.
Federal Income taxes are used to pay for every type of payment that the Federal Government makes. This includes Military, Homeland Security, Federal employees, Social Security, Medicare, Federal Parks, College and School Costs, Food Stamps, all Federal Welfare Programs, all Federal Departments, and everything else paid by the Federal Government including foreign aid. All these expenses and others are paid from income taxes and other taxes and fees.

The four main spending categories that the federal government spends money on are Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and national defense.
Well, it is tough to say the exact number. However Medicare and Medicaid are mandatory spending for the government. Medicare and Medicaid, last year, were a combined 26% of the U.S. federal Budget
These programs meet national needs - it's simply not practicable to have 50 different versions of the US Marine Corps, or Social Security for that matter!BTW, altho the Feds provide most of the funding, the States administer Medicaid.
