Barack Obama will be sworn into office using Lincoln's bible.
The bible says nothing about elections or the colour of a person who should be elected to political office.
John F. Kennedy, the first Roman Catholic to be elected president, was the first to take the oath of office using a Douay version of the Bible. After Kennedy's assassination on Nov. 22, 1963, Lyndon B. Johnson took the oath of office using a Catholic missal on Air Force One.
When a President-elect is sworn into the office of President, he rests his left hand on a closed Bible and raises his right hand. The actual Oath of Office is specified in Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution.

He established the office of president and not king. He began the use of the Bible when taking the oath of office, he planned out Washington DC, and got the president’ House started.
Lyndon Baines Johnson was the first US President to take the oath of office while his wife, Lady Bird Johnson, held the bible. This took place in 1965.
After a president is elected in November he (and perhaps one day, she) is officially "sworn in," after which he begins his term as president. This generally occurs on inauguration day in January, several months after the election. President Obama, for example, was elected on November 4, 2008, and he was inaugurated, sworn into office, on January 20, 2009. The oath of office ceremony refers to how the president is sworn in: there is a ritual where he places one hand on a Bible (although this is not mandatory, it has become a custom) and raises the other hand, repeating the 35-word pledge, which includes the promise to "preserve, protect, and defend" the Constitution of the United States. The oath is usually given by the chief justice of the Supreme Court.
Not only was Obama elected President in a largely christian country, he is a practising christian himself. Why would he even think of using something other than the bible?
Jimmy Carter
Barack Obama will be using the same bible Abraham Lincoln used when he was sworn in as President.
That would be a matter of personal choice made by the president-elect. The bible that George Washington used to take the oath of office of president of the U.S. is owned by St. John's Lodge No. 1 in New York City. The last president who was a Freemason was Gerald Ford.
