There is no indication that the years referred to in the Old Testament of The Bible were any different from today. One reference point for this is the clear indications of a major decrease in life expectation after the flood, down to levels similar to today. If we were to disbelieve the Bible testimony about the pre-flood world life expectancy and adjust them by a factor of ten (to bring them into line with todays ages) then, to be consistent, we must also similarly adjust the post-flood ages. This is clearly in the realm of the ridiculous and would make Moses for example, to have died at the age of 12, having led the Israelites for 40 years in the widerness.
