In the US government, there is no such title as President Emeritus. Ex-presidents have no duties unless the President or Congress asks them to take on some assignment.

The title President Emeritus is sometimes given by Colleges or Universities to a retired President as a way of retaining a connection after retirement. A President Emeritus has no duties resulting from holding that title.
