The legislative branch lays and collects taxes. They have what is called the power of the purse. They control everything that involves federal money.
The branch of government that is responsible for collecting taxes is the executive branch. Specifically, it is the IRS, which is under the Department of the Treasury, who collects taxes.
To get money for the country
The branch of government that collects income tax is the executive branch, specifically through the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), which operates under the Department of the Treasury in the United States. The IRS is responsible for administering and enforcing federal tax laws, including the collection of income taxes. While Congress, part of the legislative branch, establishes tax laws, it is the executive branch that implements and collects those taxes.
The Internal Revenue Service which is a part of the Executive branch collects taxes. The Legislative branch which is Congress creates taxes.
The government does not earn any money, the income it has derives from the taxes it collects.It collects that money in taxes to pay for social requirements. Health, infrastructure, defence etc.
The Executive Branch enforces the laws which includes the tax laws. The IRS is a government agency headed by the Executive Branch. The Legislative branch creates the tax laws.
Texas collects it's money through taxes. This is the same for all 50 states.
The branch of Government who makes the law is the Congress/ Legislative Branch. Some of the powers they have is to coin money, taxes, and to declare war.
