Alot can be done with a Hospitality Business degree. Hospitality Management, Hotel Restaurant Institutional Management is another name for this degree. A bachelor's in hospitality opens you up to a world of things. Hotels, restaurants, country clubs, travel, tourism, cruislines, events management and planning, training, recruiting, amusement parks, recreation, and a whole lot more. This degree is questioned by alot of people nowadays because of the economy's condition but the truth is through good times and bad people will always wine and dine or travel for business and or pleasure. It is a specific business degree. A general business degree is extremely similar to this.

If you like interacting with people and have a great personality this is for you. If people and their complaints do not get to you and the good from them outweighs the bad then go for it. Math, science, and history can be taught but you can't teach somebody to have a great personality. You learn fast whether you're good for this industry or not. Corporate companies such as Darden (ex. Red Lobster, Olive Garden) deal with their management very stricly and enforce policies for every little thing whereas a private restaurant makes their rules as they go along. Country clubs, lots of money to be made in this aspect of the industry, but all depends on if the kind of people that attend are your kind of people.

You usually know right away if this is or isn't for you. You can be successful doing anything as long as you're good at it.
