Receive a Ministry degree from an accredited college plus either enroll in ROTC while at college or apply to Officer Candidate School after graduation and be commissioned as in Officer. In a Battlefield situation, the Chaplain is usually but not always a Catholic Priest since they can conduct either a Catholic or Protestant service. The word Catholic means "Universal".

The only way it would be possible is if you held a four year degree (a requirement to receive a commission as an officer) and were already ordained as a minister. Which, if you already met this criteria, you would probably already be a chaplain.
