What happened at Andrew Jackson's inaugral reception?

Well, during the inauguration, there was the "inaugural brawl" which everyone began to destroy stuff and steal furniture from the White House. I think Jackson had to flee or something because it was a mass. People thought they had the right to steal and destroy things because they were the "common people" and Jackson was the "common hero/man". Some people began to call Jackson the "King Andrew" since he acted like a dictator.

Jackson invited the public to attend the White House Ball following his first inauguration. So many people accepted his invitation and showed up that there was not enough room for everyone to get into the building. This caused the mob to become very unruly, and overwhelmed the White House guards. The guards and attendants finally put tubs fulled with punch on the White House lawn to encourage people to move outside.

After his first Inauguration, he had an open house in the White House to let people come and meet him. However the crowd was too large and became unruly. People actually climbed in through windows when the doors became blocked. Jackson eventually had to flee and spent the night where he was lviing before his inauguration , in a hotel.
