Like a lot of the old rates that were merged to save money on schools, in 2003 the EW rating was merged into the Cryptologic Technician Rate (CT).
The CT (communications) rate was then merged in 2006 into the Information Systems (IT) rate, while the CT (admin) rate was merged into Yeoman.
