Benjamin Harrison grew up on a farm in North Bend, Ohio. He did the typical fame chores, such as choppong wood, feeding the livestock, hauling water and wood, amd washing dishes. For fun, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming and walking over to visit his grandfather who lived on a neighboring estate. He was home-schooled and later went to a local one-room log school. He also had free-run of his grandfather's library once he learned to read.
