It's when you study last minute (the day before the test). Try this:

Take a quick 5 minute jog and then do 15 situps and 30 jumping jacks to get the blood rushing so you can focus studying. Have a snack with water so your not thinking about food or anything. Then, sit down, breathe, relax and tell yourself that you're going to get an A or B for one minute.

That was preparation for an hour of studying (sounds stupid but it works perfectly).

Now you're going to read each sentence slowly so you process everything that the book or your notes is talking about. You're then going to review everything (and this is where the real studying kicks in) you've just read, except you're going to break it down. Read an IMPORTANT sentence (one you KNOW is going to be on the test) and quiz yourself on that one sentence. Example:

"Lithium has one valence electron." Read this twice, then ask yourself: "How many valence electrons does lithium have?" If you get it right, move on to the next sentence. If you get it wrong reread the sentence three times again and quiZ yourself again. Then, make yourself a real quiz. Keep doing the quiz until you get a 100.

Make sure you get your sleep and constantly drink water. Have a lot of fruit and vegetables and get ALOT OF SLEEP. Study 5 minutes the day of the test so your mind is refreshed.

HOPE IT HELPED!
