A government is a system put in place to manage and enact legal, economic, military, and social organization and order over a group of people who share a common bond, usually cultural or geographical. There are many different types of governments ranging from dictatorships (which may control the majority of it's peoples lives) to governments of limited power which may place more emphasis on individual freedoms.

Governments are important because they establish Law and Order, as well as provide common goals for a society to work towards with the intent of either sustaining or improving life for the people which it represents.
