I am a technician working in a UK school. In my school there are technicians in Physics,Chemistry,Biology,Computing,Drama and Art. Technicians set up experiments for the pupils as directed by the teachers. They order chemicals, consumables and stock. They repair broken equipment and advise teachers as to the safety of a proposed experiment. They clean up afterwards and generally ensure that planned experiments and practical exams go as smoothly as possible..
