The case of Heggblade Margulea Tenneco vs. Sunshine Biscuit primarily revolves around issues of trademark infringement and unfair competition. Heggblade Margulea Tenneco, as the plaintiff, argued that Sunshine Biscuit's use of a similar name or branding created confusion among consumers, potentially harming their brand identity and market share. The court's decision would hinge on the likelihood of confusion between the two brands and the legal protections afforded to trademarks under intellectual property law. Ultimately, the ruling would clarify the boundaries of trademark rights and the importance of distinct branding in the marketplace.

Cheez-Its were first made by Sunshine Biscuit Company in 1921. They were then bought by Keebler Company in 1996, which in turn got bought by Kelloggs in 2001. They're 89 years old. Cheez-Its are still sold under the Sunshine label.
