The important factor of camouflaging is to make the object blend into its surroundings. That means different things depending on what you're camouflaging. It could mean making sure the camo net is pulled all the way to the ground. That the wheelwells are covered up, every part of your face has camo stick on it...it could also mean dressing like the locals when you go downtown in civilian clothes to have a currywurst so the skinheads won't be able to tell who's an American from fifty feet away.
The correct spelling is 'camouflage'.
