Face value if it's from circulation. All circulation halves dated 1971 and later are made of copper-nickel, not silver.

A cupronickel proof version in its original packaging might retail for $3.50-15 depending on variety and quality.

A silver proof version in its original packaging might retail for $5-18 depending on variety and quality.

The gold plating doesn't make it worth any more. But, it depends on the date, 1964 Kennedy half dollars are 90% silver and worth a bit more than $10 at the time of writing, and 1965-1970 half dollars are 40% silver and worth around $4.25
