The President is not required to make any speeches except the State of the Union Address and that can be sent to Congress rather than spoken. He speaks on other occasions because he asked to and because he is always campaigning either for himself , his agenda or his party. People like to hear the President speak and it is not that much trouble to read a speech that someone writess for him. Most presidents like to speak and consider it an honor to speak at special events. Also, if speaks on one holiday but not another, he might offend somebody, so the president tends to speak whenver he reasonably can and has an audience.

What will be indirect speech for this sentence They said you have done your duty well?

If the sentence has no quotation marks, the indirect speech is: you have done your duty well. Indirect speech is explaining that someone is saying something or has said something without giving their speech word-for-word. Kate said, "Pass me that banana." In this sentence, we are reading exactly what Kate said. This is direct speech. Kate said to pass her the banana. Now we are just getting the idea of what she said without the actual words. This is indirect speech.

Who determines the outcome of a presidential vote tie?

In the electoral college, there are 538 electors (or electoral votes), with at least 270 needed to win the presidential election. Although highly unlikely, it is possible that the electoral votes could be tied 269-269. If this were to happen, the vote would then go to Congress. It would be the duty of The House of Representatives to break the tie for the presidential election, and the duty of the Senate to break the tie for the vice presidential position.

What importance does patriotism and duty represent in the play Henry V by Shakespeare?

Henry V is all about duty. Its main focus is on the responsibilities of a leader in wartime, and what makes a good leader under such circumstances. We see Henry reflecting on his duty as a king, both in conversation with his troops before the battle and in his soliloquy afterward. Patriotism does appear in Henry's speech "Once more into the breach", in the phrase "God for Harry, England and St. George." However, Henry's motives in going to war with France are not patriotic, and mostly he is manipulated into it by a clergy trying to avoid paying taxes.
