The military occupational specialty (MOS) 94B, which referred to a food service specialist, was changed to 92G in 2004. This change was part of a broader reclassification initiative within the U.S. Army to standardize and update the MOS designations. The new designation, 92G, continues to encompass similar roles and responsibilities related to food service.
Well the MOS protocol was altered for strictly professional reasons, the department was re-organizing their registry
Your MOS is selected when you sign your enlistment contract at the MEPS centre. While in BCT or OSUT, you may have the option to drop certain elective (for example, you can drop a RIP contract, or you can drop Airborne school), but you can't change your MOS. If you fail your AIT for the MOS for which you enlisted, then you'll be retrained in another MOS, although you're not very likely to have much of a say in regards to which MOS you're retrained as.
For some misdemeanors, yes. Class A: 6 mos to a year Class B: 0 to 6 mos Class C: 0 to 3 mos
You won't become a chef.. you'll become a cook, and there is a major difference. You enlist for the MOS of 92G - Food Service Specialist. Then you go wherever you're assigned... might be an infantry brigade, might be a Division Troop unit, might be a unit that never deploys.

There is no MOS of 94B in the current organisation. It may have existed prior to 2004, but doesn't now. 94 is the Electronics Maintenence and Calibrations CMF, although it may have been something completely different prior to 2004. The "3" is a Skill Level Identifier, indicating that they were at skill level 3, i.e., they held the rank of Staff Sergeant. The "H" is a Special Qualifications Identifier, in this case, indicating that they are qualified as an instructor.
The date of MOS conversion was July of 2006 but it was in process since January 2006 ( 03 ) denotes an infantry MOS ( 17 ) is the sniper designation hope it helps

No. Once in basic, it would be impossible.
The change from the 2500 field to the 0600 field has been taking place over the last decade. The only one I can answer for is the migration of the 2542/4066/065x. When I enlisted in 1998 we had 2542 Comm Center Operators. By 2000 the 2542 MOS had been merged with the 4066 Small Computer Systems Specialist MOS. In 2002 the 4066 MOS was split into 2 MOSs 0651 and 0656. The 0651 MOS is the Data Network Specialist while the 0656 is the Tactical Data Network Server Operator. The rest of the 2500 field joined the 0600 field when the 2542s joined the 4066 MOS back in 2000.
6 mos or a year usually, if longer it is usually revoked permanently.
