When is Waltons Season 8 coming out?

Just checked out on the Waltons Wikipedia Web Site. The DVD for Season 8 is due out in January, 2009. I also read that this is being put out by Warner Brothers and Warner Brothers is awaiting the art work for the packaging. I don't know when it will be available in stores, but in January, 2009 you may want to check out websites like Amazon.com. (That's where I have been getting mine and they are very good). I contacted Sony in August 2008 regarding additional Waltons releases on DVD. I was informed that Sony does plan to release the balance of the series, they just can't give specific dates. The departure of Michael Learned and Richard Thomas from the series has no bearing on the value of seasons 8 and 9. Whoever thought this to be the case was merely speculating.

With the gifted actress Michael Lenard out as a full cast member...lol I said member, Sony has decided to end the series run on dvd. Since the cast had changed so much, it was best not to release further seasons- seasons 8 and 9. Very sad news indeed.
