According to the Military History website, one of the oldest continuous military units in the world is the Swiss Guard at the Vatican. Formed in 1506, that would make the Swiss Guard 500+ years old.

While not the oldest the Scots Guards were formed in 1642 and have fought in every major British conflict since it was created.

The Swedish Dragoons date back as far as 1523
