The USAF does have a reserve
Without getting too technical, the basic difference is that the Air Force Reserve is the reserve forces for the active Air Force, and the Air National Guard is specifically attached to one state. The governor of the respective state is the commander in chief for their guard. The same goes for the Army. Both the Air Force Reserve and the Air National Guard ARE part of the Air Force. The reserve is federal while the guard is state. Both wear name tapes that state U.S. Air Force on their uniforms.
Approximately 38% of the Total Force consists of the Reserve Component, which includes both the Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, and Coast Guard Reserve.
Reserve components make up about 38% of the total force in the United States military. This includes the Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Air Force Reserve, and Coast Guard Reserve.
Combatant command
Air Force Reserve Command was created in 1997.

The primary responsibilities of the Air Force Reserve Components, including the Air Force Reserve and the Air National Guard, include providing airlift capabilities and air refueling support. They play a crucial role in transporting personnel, equipment, and supplies during military operations and humanitarian missions. Their air refueling capabilities enable the aerial refueling of aircraft, extending their range and endurance during missions.
The motto of Philippine Army Reserve Command is 'Committed citizen army builder'.
No. Commander is a job title (e.g., Company Commander, Battalion Commander, Brigade Commander, Division Commander, Corps Commander, etc.), but not a rank. Lieutenant Commander and Commander exist as ranks only in the Navy. Lieutenant Commander is equivalent to a Major in the Army, Air Force, and Marines, and Commander is equivalent is Lieutenant Colonel in the Army, Air Force, and Marines.
There is no US Air Force rank for Wing Commander. A Wing consists of several Groups, which each consists of several squadrons. The Wing Commander is in command of the Wing. Typically, this is either a Brigadier General (1 star) or a Colonel, depending on the type and size of the Wing. The Royal Air Force has a rank of Wing Commander equivalent to a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force.
A reserve force of the Air Force but under state authority unless called into federal service.
