I found a Symbicort commercial listed on roshikawest.com on her resume. Don't know if she was the shadow actress or voice or both. I researched and found the woman in the latest Symbicort TV Commercial to be Karyn Plonsky.

Based on the voice and body, I think it's former VJ, Karen Duffy.
She sounds a lot like Geena Davis.
Some contributor on wikipedia has claimed it is Molly Culver
She can currently be seen (in silhouette) narrating a series of Symbicort commercials.

The actress is Karyn Plonsky, please research. The other actresses that you are recommending, (Famke Janssen, Molly Culver, Geena Davis) are to tall to be the actress. If you have a DVR pause the commercial as she walks into the light and you will see her face.
The actress filmed in silhouette on the Symbicort commercial is Molly Culver who played Tasha on the series V.I.P. which featured Pamela Anderson back in the late 90's. She can now be seen on the Olive Garden commercial with Sarah Hyland who plays Haley on the new ABC series Modern Family, and another woman playing a grandmother. However, recently they have dubbed over her with another actress's voice. It is still her silhouette. I am not sure why they even have an actress saying all these things and not being able to see her, and then changing the voice we hear. It is very strange, but those are the facts. It is also kind of an annoying commercial, too. Yes you can se her face at one point when the light hits and it is MOlly Culver. Her height is relative because there is nothing real life to compare her to, to even gauge her height.
