Please define your term 'hot shot'.
No one ever tried to shoot President Nixon. The only assassination attempt (which never came close to succeeding) was by Samuel Byck on February 22, 1974. Byck shot and killed a security officer and a pilot while trying to hijack an airliner at Baltimore-Washington International Airport. Byck planned to crash into the White House, but was shot and committed suicide.
You are always running around trying not to get shot.
