In a democracy having elections allows the people that are part of that country to voice their opinion about the people that lead the country and form its laws. if the decisions they make are not good it will tend to reflect on the standard of the life of the citizens , so come election time they will be replaced by a leadership that the people have more confidence in. It avoids situations like leaders such a Rob ert Mogaby destroying his country before the people can get rid of him.
