Are you serious? What kind of question is this? What kind of answer are you looking for? Obviously, she was picked for vice president by John McCain who saw her fit to be vice president. I'm sure it's not something he decided over night .. he had his reasoning and how are we suppose to know his reasoning?

To win the female vote. If he chose a white man, he would have received far fewer votes and he would never had chosen a minority, so he chose a woman in an act of pandering.
