Why didn't people like FDR?

There were a lot of rich people that didn't like him because he taxed them more to help out the people in need. The rich people felt as if they worked hard for their money and didn't or shouldn't have to help others if they didn't want to. Some people say that he did not help enough in the depression. FDR became President shortly after the great depression in the 1930's and he had to clean up that mess and deal with world war. That's just a basic reason of why but there is more.

One can think of many possible reasons why a wealthy person might dislike the Roosevelts, but some of the wealthy thought they were traitors to their class. Theodore was noted as a trust buster- and the very wealthy people who benefited from these trusts did not like losing them.

Franklin . although very wealthy. took an interest in the common man and pushed through a large number of social welfare programs that did little to benefit the wealthy but increased the tax load and the deficit spending that devalued the money that people had in savings.
