The Amish don't say The Pledge Of Allegiance. However in a public school and Amish child would say it.
It is hoped that patriotism will be inculcated by the daily repetition of the pledge of allegiance, but I personally have my doubts.
I say Pledge of allegiance first
A flag is the national identity of a nation. We have them in schools and say the pledge of allegiance everyday because everything that we are has not come without sacrifice. "The foundation of every state is the education of its' youth". The moment of silence is to think about all the good things this nation has become and to give thanks.
