This is How Kennedy was shot: Shortly after midnight, on June 5, 1968, Sirhan Sirhan shot Robert F. Kennedy in the brain, finally wounded. Robert Kennedy was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, where he come to life for another 26 hours before dying at 1:44 a.m., the following morning. Robert Kennedy was taken to the Holland Cemetery, where he was laid to rest alongside of his brother, John Kennedy. Sirhan Sirhan was convicted, and was sentenced to death. He escaped execution when during the second year of his appeals, The California Supreme Court declared the death penalty on constitutional. His sentence was commuted to life in prison.
He is still alive and appears to be in good health at age 59.
