Some examples include "Amendment" (referring to the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments), "Black Codes" (laws aimed at limiting the freedom of African Americans), "Civil Rights" (referring to the push for equal rights), and "Disenfranchisement" (the systematic denial of voting rights). Other notable terms include "Emancipation," "Freedmen," "Gerrymandering," and "Reconstruction" itself, which represents the period of rebuilding the South and integrating formerly enslaved people into society.
In the Constitution, it is the "Bill of Rights" (another way of referring to the first ten amendments) which gives a list of the rights that Americans are guaranteed. The 1st Amendment was created to protect the freedoms of the American people. These freedoms include establishment and practice of religion, free speech, free press, and the rights to assemble and petition. It was written because some of the people who came to America left Europe to try to find these freedoms; protecting them in the Constitution means that these rights cannot be taken away.
Some examples of freedoms that are restricted in America include limitations on freedom of speech, restrictions on privacy rights, and constraints on the right to protest in certain circumstances.
Freedom House examines two kinds of rights for each country: civil and political rights, and freedom of the press. Civil and political rights include freedoms of expression, assembly, and association, as well as the right to vote and participate in political processes. Freedom of the press includes the ability of journalists to operate without interference or censorship.
You use Amendment 1 in everyday life. It provides us with 5 basic freedoms. They include the following:1) The Freedom of Speech: You are allowed to give your opinion on different things and basically allowed to say whatever you believe.2) The Freedom of the Press: You are allowed to publish newspapers giving opinions on different topics in the news and to inform the public on what is going on.3) The Freedom of Religion: You are allowed to practice whatever religion you would like to be a part of.4) The Freedom of Assembly and the Freedom of Petition:These two freedoms are closely related. You are allowed to petition things that you want changed. You also are allowed to gather into organized protests, as long as they are not violent. If you would like an easy way to remember them, think of RAPPS (Religion, Assembly, Press, Petition, Speech)

In a free enterprise system, three key economic freedoms include the freedom of choice, which allows individuals to make decisions about what to produce, sell, and purchase; the freedom to compete, enabling businesses to enter markets and compete for customers without excessive restrictions; and the freedom to own private property, which grants individuals and businesses the right to acquire, use, and transfer assets as they see fit. These freedoms foster innovation, efficiency, and economic growth by encouraging entrepreneurship and consumer choice.
