When you say year pennies, I'm assuming that you mean what years on the penny make it valuable. Well, the grand-daddy of all Lincoln pennies is the 1909-S VDB penny. You can find the initials between the bottom of the two wheat stalks. (1909 was the only year that had the initials VDB (Victor David Brenner) between the bottom of the two wheat stalks. Also, all the 1909 pennies are worth quite some money, but not like the omg I'm sooo rich type. Other key and simi-key dates are the: 1914-D (only 1,193,000 minted) 1922 no D or S on it (mintage unknown) 1931-S (only 866,000 minted) Here are coins that the mint made by accident: 1955 double die (doubling in everything) 1972 double die Hope this helped!
The wheat cent was first issued in 1909 to honor the 100th birthday of Abraham Lincoln. It was produced for 50 years until it was redesigned in 1959 when the Lincoln Memorial cent was issued to honor his 150th birthday. This cent too was produced for 50 years until 2009 when the cent was again redesigned to honor the 200th birthday of Abraham Lincoln.

Wheat cents were minted for 50 years and at 3 different mints, so that's not an easy question to answer. You can find mintage figures at a site such as in the link below, but there is no way to tell how many of each mintage are still in existence. Coins have been lost, corroded, thrown away, melted, damaged, you name it.
Earlier years are more valuable than later coins. The more collectible wheat pennies are pre-WWII.
5000 years ago in the middle east. Likely in Egypt.
There are way too many years, mintmarks and grades to try to type out in detail. The best thing is, get a copy of Red Book or find a on-line price guide. See the related link below for an on-line price guide to wheat pennies.
Errors that can be found on a wheat penny are doubled-die obverse, S over D, D over S and for 1922 pennies no D or a weak D. In 1922 pennies were only minted in Denver all other years they were minted in Philly(no mint mark) and Denver (D) along with San Fran(S) in select years.
It varies depending on demand. In recent years production has been between 7 and 13 billion pieces per year. Production figures for years up to 2003 are available at the link below
The metal content may have changed. Sometimes they change the design. For example, Canadian pennies through the years have updated portraits of HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
Face value unless you know the years and mint and condition of each coin. A collector might pay more but the bank sure won't.
