Colonists we taught by the Native Americans on how to plant corn, beans, and pumpkins and where to hunt and fish. Colonists traded iron pots, blankets, and guns for the Native Americans' furs. Colonists and The Native Americans competed for the land and then finally war broke out in 1636.
Some of the Native Americans hunted buffalo and when the white people came they killed buffalo for fun and that hurt the native Americans because they hunted buffalo and they could not hunt very many because there weren't that many left
The U.S. Settlers were mean to the Native Americans and forced them to move to reservation land where there was no buffalo to hunt and the hunters would have to move out of the reservations to hunt for the buffalo for food, clothing and tools. Long ago before the U.S. Settlers came to America, the Native Americans would follow the buffalo where ever they go to hunt for the things they will need to survive because the buffalo was their sacred animal

Native American groups primarily hunted with harpoons in the Northwest. This region, characterized by its coastal waters and abundant marine life, allowed tribes such as the Tlingit and Haida to effectively use harpoons for hunting fish and marine mammals.
