No. In reference to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States of America, the cause rests solely with those who hijacked the planes, and caused them to crash. Cause and effect is a tricky issue when we lay blame on others, however as intelligent human beings, we must always take responsibility for our own actions. Regardless of what reasons we give for doing things, or what we believe prompts us into action, it is still the decision of those who actually carry out any criminal or terrorist act that actually causes the damage. Those who train, finance, or in any way support terrorism can be considered accomplices, and are guilty by association or by aiding and abetting a criminal act. While many things can influence the outcome of events, those who carry out the act are the real cause.
