I believe around 1700 there were around 15-20 million native americans. within the next 200 yrs that number was reduced to 2 million or so. Most died from the exposure of the diseases brought over with the imigrants. Others starved as they were pushed from the land to colder weather. Many more starved as the buffalo were slaughtered by the railroads.

Definitely not the brightest part of our history.
