Harriet Tubman, a brave free African-American lady, was known as the "Moses of her people" because she helped over three hundred black slaves escape to freedom during the Civil War, similar to the way that Moses of the Old Testament helped his people escape to freedom.
fearless, determined, brave, courageous, brave, clever, daring, generous, caring, helpful, independent, strong.
'His brave and noble actions led the prisoners to freedom.'or, 'For the first time since they had been brought over from Africa the slaves finally had freedom.'
The underground railroad was started to help black slaves from the southern get to Canada to gain their freedom. It was very dangerous and many people were killed, but because of the brave people who helped transport the slaves many were granted their freedom and a chance to start over in Canada.
Harriet Tubman was an escaped slave who worked to free over 300 other people stuck in slavery. There was a large bounty on her head, so if she had been caught, the slaves would have been returned to their owner, and Tubman would have been murdered.

People can promote freedom by by being brave and courageous. People can promote these freedoms by making others more aware of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship.
For being so brave and going back and getting more slaves and leading them to freedom instead of just going herself and leaving all the other slaves wich is nonselfish and for being completly succsesful with the other slaves.
Harriet Tubman was a brave and very strong woman. She traveled very long ways to get herself, her family, and as much slaves as she could to freedom. She risked her life nineteen times as a "conductor" on the Underground Railroad. As I recall, she escaped to Pennsylvania from Maryland. No one really knows how many miles she had to travel to get to freedom when she escaped.
She was breaking a law that kept people as slaves which is morally wrong and it was discrimination. The fact she escaped and when back to lead people to freedom is brave and shows a civil disobedience that needs to be commended. Just because there is a law doesn't make it a good law or even one that should be followed.
Harriet Tubman
You could describe Persephone as brave since she after all was kidnapped by Hades and obviously tried to escape.
