Is this a school question?
The rivalry between French and Dutch colonists affected Native Americans because Peter Minuit led a group of Dutch settlers to Manhattan on the mouth of the Hudson River. He bought it from the local Indians and called it New Amsterdam. More colonists settled nearby and together they became New Netherland (todays New York). Soon they enlarged New Netherland by taking over the colony of New Sweden.
THE COLONISTS IN NORTH AMERICA WERE THE NATIVE AMERICANS
Rivalry between the French and the Dutch in North America lead to increased Indian warfare. The rivalry pushed the Indians to secure more furs and items for trade and more warfare broke out over competition.
This showed the french that the colonists are good fighters(they might win the battle at Yorktown), and that they, the French should join forces with the Americans, to help them break away from Great Britain.
They would hide in trees and bushes. And catch them by surprise therefor killing a lot of men.

The French and Indian War. This takes place when the English were battling the French colonists and Native Americans, in which the English undoubtedly destroyed the French and Indian Forces. But this is a very prominent example, if you ask me.
After the battle of saratoga, the french realized that the Americans were a good bet to win the Revolution, and they were already looking for a way to get revenge on Britain from the French and Indiian War. The Americans gained a lot of artillery and manpower, which probably was the deciding factor in the American's victory at Yorktown
Native americans, French colonists
French colonists generally had friendlier relations with american Indians
France appeared to be a better partner to Native Americans than the Colonists and the English. The French were trading partners while the Colonists were land grabbers.
