On a Morgan dollar, the mintmark should be located right below the center of the wreath, the minkmark is very small. if there is no mintmark, then it was minted in Philadelphia
Two types of silver dollars were issued in 1921, a Morgan dollar and a Peace dollar. The easy way to tell the difference is on the reverse (back) of a Peace dollar the eagles wings are folded, on the Morgan they are spread out. Post a new question after you find out which one you have.

US Silver Dollars - 1921 - There were four separate coins minted for 1921 -The Morgan Silver Dollar - (Morgans were minted from 1878-1921 with a break between 1904 and 1921) The 1921 S - San Fransisco - D Denver and Philadelphia (no mint mark) 1921 was also the first year of the Peace Dollar 1921-1935 The first year 1921 was struck as High Relief - the 1921 was only minted at Philadelphia @ a little over 1 million coins- fairly low - these coins in ultra mint condition fetch a bundle - there is one variety with a matte finish - 10 minted - sometimes hard to tell- it is valued in excess of 250,000 US.
Are you sure this is a 1924 standing liberty silver dollar? All my resources tell me there were no standing liberty silver dollars minted in 1924. The peace silver dollar was the coin minted in 1924. There were no standing Liberty dollars. The quarter issued from 1916 to 1930 bears the standing Liberty design, and the half issued from 1916 to 1947 bears the walking Liberty design. No, there is no running Liberty design, LOL!
It will have "CC" in the mint mark position, on the reverse side above the DO in DOLLAR.

Look for the mint mark.
Could you tell us a bit more about this coin? I won't say for certain that no coins designed by Morgan were made in 1929, but the dollar coin that is named for him was not minted after 1921.
It will have a CC mintmark on the reverse below the eagle and wreath, above the DO in dollar...Philadelphia-minted Morgans have no mintmarkNew Orleans-minted Morgans have an O in the same place the CC would beSan Francisco-minted Morgans have an S1921 is the only year the Denver mint minted any Morgan dollars. They will have a D in the same spot. There's a picture at the Related Link.
Better tell that to the US Mint as I am holding one in my hand as we speak.
It depends, has the year worn off? If so what is the variety of the dollar, if it is a Morgan or Peace, it isn't worth more than silver scrap, about $20-25 depending on silver's price. If it is an earlier type it may be worth more. If it was minted without a year, it isn't a US coin but might just be a privately minted coin, without seeing it in person it is impossible to tell the value of a token.
A "Carson City Morgan Dollar" is simply a Morgan dollar produced at the Carson City, Nevada, mint. Such a coin can be identified by the mintmark "CC" on the reverse of the coin, beneath the tail feathers of the eagle.
Stare at it for three hours with out blinking and the answer WILL come to you. Hope this helps.
